work-life balance for momsHaving a visual trigger can be inspirational and provide a motivational reminder of where you are now and where you would like to go. Get out those old magazines, paper, scissors and glue sticks and create a visual collage. Cut out and paste your inspirations and goals onto a board.

First, think about your work and life goals. Think about one goal you would like to start with and define it. If your ambition is to spend more time with the family, cut out pictures of family activities that inspire you. If you want to get more fit, cut out images of people who are doing what you would like to do.

Include pictures of things that will help you on your journey to achieve this goal. For example, if you are training for a 5K what will help you achieve that? Perhaps comfortable running shoes, a water bottle, optimal fuel, and/or adequate rest? Include sacrifices you have to make to achieve this goal. Perhaps it is getting up earlier in the morning to be able to have time to do this.
